Two ways to get your AC tuned up

Most breakdowns we get called for started months earlier as a dirty coil, a weak capacitor or a drain line starting to slime up. Then the hottest week of the year finishes it off. Two tune-ups a year catches that stuff first. You pick the months. Most people do one before the summer heat and one about 6 months later, but it's your call. We'll go through the whole system, clean what needs it, tighten what's loose and tell you what we found.

One-time tune-up

$150per visit

Good if you just want it checked once.

  • Full tune-up, cooling and heat side
  • Coil and drain line cleaned
  • Refrigerant and electrical checked
  • Price for anything we find, before we fix it

Filters: we bring 1 standard filter each visit. If your house has more than one return and you've got the filters for them, we'll put those in too. Odd sizes we can order for you. Between visits, changing them is up to you.

Want us out 4 times a year instead of 2? We do quarterly service too. Call and we'll price it for your system.

What we check every visit

Same checklist on the one-time tune-up and on both plan visits.

Cooling side

  • Clean the outdoor condenser coil
  • Inspect and clean the indoor coil (where we can reach it)
  • Check refrigerant pressures and temperature split
  • Test the capacitor, contactor and fan motors
  • Check blower wheel and motor amps
  • Flush and treat the condensate drain line
  • Test the float switch and safety controls

Heat and electrical

  • Test heat strips and sequencers
  • Check the heat pump reversing valve and defrost
  • Check thermostat operation, heat mode and calibration
  • Tighten all electrical connections
  • Look over duct connections at the air handler
  • Change the filter (1 standard filter included)

What you get on ComfortCare

Priority scheduling

Members go to the front of the line on service calls. Big deal in July.

Discounted repair labor

Members pay a lower labor rate on repairs the whole year. Parts and refrigerant are priced like normal.

We call you

No need to remember. We call when it's time for your next tune-up.

A rundown every visit

After each visit you'll get a quick rundown of what we found and anything to keep an eye on.

Signing up takes about 2 minutes

1

Call or book online

Call (863) 517-2905 or hit Sign Up Online and pick Maintenance Plan. Tell us how many systems you have.

2

Pick your first visit

We'll set up a day that works for you and send a quick sign-up form.

3

First tune-up

Takes about an hour per system. You pay the $211 then, and get a rundown before we leave.

4

Second tune-up

About 6 months later, or whenever you want it. We'll call you to set it up.

How the plan works

Plain and simple, so there are no surprises.

How long it runs

12 months from your start date. It doesn't renew on its own. We'll call you before it's up to see if you want to keep going.

What's covered

The system listed when you sign up, at that address. Each extra system is its own $211 plan. If a system turns out to be unsafe or not worth fixing at the first visit, we'll tell you and give you your money back.

Scheduling

2 visits a year, any months you pick, set up with you ahead of time. If we show up and can't get to the equipment, we'll reschedule once for free. A second missed visit counts as used. Visits you don't use don't carry over.

Paying

$211 per system, paid once, when you sign up or at your first visit. Your member perks start once it's paid. Bounced checks or declined cards are $35 plus any bank fees.

Filters

We bring and put in 1 standard pleated filter each visit. If your house has more and you've got the replacements there, we'll change those too at no labor charge. Odd sizes we can order and quote.

What's not included

Parts, refrigerant beyond a charge check, repairs, duct cleaning and air quality products. If we find something, you get the price first and you decide.

Member perks

Priority scheduling and a lower labor rate on repairs while the plan is active. The discount is on labor only, not parts, refrigerant or equipment.

Getting to the equipment

We need safe access to the attic, closet, roof or wherever the equipment is, and pets put up. If something isn't safe to work on, we'll tell you why.

Canceling

Either of us can cancel with 30 days notice. Cancel before your first visit and you get your money back. After the first visit there's no refund, and the perks end on the cancel date.

When you sign up you'll get a short membership agreement with these same terms to sign. Text us a photo of it, email it, or hand it to us at the first visit.

Plan questions

What's included in the C&R ComfortCare plan?

$211 a year per system gets you 2 full tune-ups, any months you pick. Each one covers coil cleaning, refrigerant and electrical checks, a drain flush, the heat side and 1 standard filter. You also get priority scheduling and a lower labor rate on repairs. The full checklist is on the plan page.

Are filters included?

One standard filter each visit. If the house has more than one return and you have the extra filters on hand, we'll put them all in. Changing them between visits is on you.

How often should I change my filter?

In Florida, a standard 1 inch filter usually needs changing every 1 to 2 months, sooner with pets or allergies. Thicker media filters last longer, so check the label.

How often should my AC be serviced?

Twice a year down here. Systems run almost year round, so two checkups about 6 months apart catch most problems before they turn into breakdowns.

Do I have to come in spring and fall?

No. You pick the 2 months. Most people space them about 6 months apart, but whatever works for your schedule works for us.

How much is a one-time tune-up?

$150. Same full tune-up, no plan needed. If you want 2 a year, the $211 plan works out cheaper and comes with priority scheduling and a repair discount.

How do I sign up for the plan?

Call (863) 517-2905 or use Sign Up Online on the plan page. We'll set up your first visit and you pay the $211 then.

Does one plan cover more than one system?

One plan covers one system at one address. Two systems, two plans.

Does the plan renew automatically?

No. It runs 12 months and doesn't renew on its own. We'll reach out before it's up to offer renewal at the current rate.

Can I cancel the plan?

Yes, just give us 30 days notice. Cancel before the first visit and you get a full refund. After the first visit, there's no refund and member benefits end on the cancellation date.

Do members get a discount on repairs?

Yes, a reduced labor rate on repairs for the life of the plan. Labor only, not parts, refrigerant or equipment.
