Indoor Air Quality
The air inside your house can actually be worse than outside, especially in Florida with the humidity and allergens we deal with. We offer air filtration upgrades, UV light installations and whole-home solutions to help keep your air clean. Whether it's a better filter setup or a full IAQ system, we'll find what works for your home and your budget.
What we install
- UV lights at the coil to keep the coil and drain pan from growing
- Filter rack and media filter upgrades
- Whole-home setups sized to your house and budget
- Duct sealing so attic air stays out
- Fixes for humidity problems caused by bad sizing or setup
Signs your air needs work
- Allergies act up more inside than out
- Dust is back a day after you clean
- Musty smell when the system kicks on
- Black spots on the grilles or around the air handler
- The house feels damp or sticky
Humidity is the big one
In Florida, humidity is behind most indoor air problems. Your AC is supposed to pull water out of the air every time it runs. If it isn't, mold and mildew get going and the house feels warmer than the thermostat says. Sometimes it's the equipment, sometimes it's the duct and sometimes it's a system that was sized wrong from day one. We'll find out which.
Every ComfortCare visit includes a coil cleaning and a drain flush and treatment.
